I vacationed in Cabo, got engaged in Cabo, married in Cabo, and learned every expensive lesson in between. "Married in Cabo" is the guide I wish someone had handed me when I was wedding planning.
We married at The Cape with forty-four guests — all-white florals, ocean views, and El Arco on the horizon behind us at the ceremony. When we shared it, over 3 million people watched.
What nobody saw was the year in front of it. I planned the whole weekend — 3 days of events, from a different country, in a currency I had to keep converting, with vendors I had never met. I built spreadsheets for things I didn't know had costs. I asked questions I was embarrassed to ask. I got a few things wrong and paid for them.
If you know me, you know I don't do anything halfway — I research obsessively, plan for every scenario, and I'm not satisfied until every detail matches the vision in my head, even if that means we have to refine and make changes 100 times. Whatever it takes to get it right. Bless my wedding planner. :)
By the time the weekend arrived I felt completely at ease. I had already made every decision, obsessed over every detail, and checked every list twice. I felt confident in those decisions, and especially the vendor team I had behind me. Nothing was left to the day.
So I documented everything to share with the bride who's just beginning. The real budget, line by line. The vendors I used and the ones I passed on. The order things have to happen in. It became The Bride Binder, and now Married in Cabo.
The binder covers what I can write down once. Everything below is the part that has to be yours — your dates, your guest count, your shortlist, your hotel.
Plan one-on-one with Crystal, have your guest website designed, or ask for help arranging venue tours and a room block.
